The story of ROKA London
The story of ROKA London is one of love, creativity, and classic British weather. Founders Brett and Emma crossed paths in 2014 during a trip abroad, sparking a romance that would eventually bring them to London.
One sunny day, Brett set out to explore Oxford Street, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, with his trusty old backpack slung over his shoulder. In true British fashion, the weather had other plans. The sunshine quickly turned to heavy rain, and by the time Brett made it home, he was drenched—along with everything in his bag.
That rain-soaked moment led to something bigger than just a need for a dry change of clothes. With over 20 years in the fashion and retail industry, Brett recognized an opportunity: What if there was a weatherproof bag that was also stylish, colorful, and practical?
And so, ROKA London was born. It didn’t take long for Brett and Emma to get started, creating bags that combine style and function with weather-resistant resilience.

Sustainability
ROKA London is a responsible company committed to its customers, people, the planet, and local communities. Each product is manufactured sustainably, with a strong focus on recycled materials and environmental impact.
The canvas bags are crafted from recycled plastic bottles, while the nylon bags are made from fabric waste sourced from previous consumer goods. This process breathes new life into plastic and waste that would otherwise end up in landfills or, even worse, our oceans. -
Weather resistance
Weather resistance is at the core of ROKA London's design philosophy. Both the canvas and nylon materials are water-repellent and treated with C0 impregnation. This process is completely free of PFAS and fully compliant with EU regulations.
To provide extra durability, most of our bags and backpacks feature a reinforced, weather-resistant fabric at the bottom, offering additional support and protection from the ground.
